Position Director of Field Operations (Outdoor Education)

Job Requirements
Primary responsibilities
Work with Executive Director and Management team to identify and execute program recommendations (B2B, B2C, Corporate Programs, E-Learning, etc.) that will enhance achievement of corporate goals (revenue, costs, staffing, P&L, etc.) within the scope of the organizational and corporate strategy
Provide input and guidance to Executive Director and Management team on matters of program expansion, strategic growth, and research and development for new camp locations both locally and overseas
Provide strategic vision and strong leadership while designing and directing our programs
Own the development of DF’s training strategy, working with the Executive Director and Management team to prioritize training initiatives including professional development, culture assessments, train the trainer sessions and provide an untethered, on-demand learning experience. Training solutions should include a blended approach to learning such as coaching, classroom training, experiential learning, and online courses such as for ‘EQ’.
Extract, analyze, and communicate data pertaining to key performance indicators of the strategic plan measurements of success and make recommendations to the Executive Director and Management Team.
Analyze market needs, requirement and use competitors review to assist the designing of new programs (B2B, B2C, Corporate Programs, E-Learning, etc.) to launch into the market
Seek out new and creative program ideas (E-Learning, EQ Programs – Online & Off-line) to design, implement and execute to meet the corporate objectives as approved by Executive Director
Re-vamp and modify existing programs as needed due to the evolution of the market requirements to meet the corporate objectives
Develop an effective plan of action for running our programs from inception to completion
Develop and manage with the Field Operations team on work systems and processes that effectively drive productivity
Develop goals for the programs and track progress, setbacks, and overall performance
Conduct needs analyses, assist with talent reviews, conduct employee engagement surveys, create a framework for career development, etc.
Develops training and development policies, procedures, objectives, initiatives, and improvement plan to enhance leadership development.
Build trust with teams and stakeholders through open and honest conversation.
Ensure scalability of delivery model through development of technology and train the trainer approach

Secondary responsibilities
Logistics Management - Manage, develop the Logistics Manager & the logistic team including the booking function, review purchase needs and requests and have final approval, oversee an annual audit of suppliers, recommend cost-cutting options, recommend workflow improvement
Operation Management - Manage Operations Manager, Site Managers and Program Coordinators with focus on operations and logistics, ensure efficiency in staffing, use of shared resources in a cost-effective manner
Program Design and Delivery – Manage programs design and delivery of the programs, improvement and refinement of existing programs and the deliveries, creation of new innovative activities that could be packaged into the programs.
Organizational Development - Create and review Polices, Procedures & Protocols
Other responsibilities might be ad hoc, more occasional activities, and those that are collaborative across the company.
Sales and Marketing - Collaborate with Account Management & Marketing Team on program design, capacity and preferred date and location placement
