Job Requirements
Degree or equivalent business experience.
10 - 15 years of experience in Quality Assurance activities.
Must have knowledge of Factory Engineering, Production Control and Quality Control Audit Procedures.
Strong leadership, effective communication, presentation, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
Excellent command of English, both oral and written.
Willing to travel.
Manages the quality assurance programs throughout an assigned international area to assure merchandise is of high quality and conforms to established standards.
Develops inspection programs and evaluates suppliers’ quality control procedures.
Directs assigned QA managers and quality engineers and assures scheduled visits to suppliers to perform factory assessments and quality audits of merchandise. Directs the scheduling and follow-up of The Factory Training, IRP Certification Training and Monitoring.
Directs a country’s Factory Assessment program and IRP Program to ensure all private brand suppliers are evaluated, and that evaluations are maintained and communicated to the appropriate foreign buying office Merchandisers.
Assures that our inspection agents and suppliers are provided with an understanding of our quality control requirements, including merchandise specifications, minimum construction standards, grading guidelines, quality standards and packaging and labeling requirements. Evaluates supplier facilities, internal quality control programs and appropriate manufacturing activities and assists suppliers in setting up statistical quality control programs at their plants to drive continuous factory quality improvement.
Build strong rapport with internal and external team including Sourcing, Merchandising, Suppliers, Factories and 3rd Party Service Providers to drive operational efficiency.
