Position Senior Fabric Manager (Knit & Woven)

Job Requirements
Higher diploma or above in Textile Technology or Textile Chemistry background.
At least 10 years relevant experience in fabric, preferred actual mill experience with over 5 years in supervisory role preferably in US buying office.
Strong technical skills in knitting (including sweaters), weaving, dyeing, finishing, washing, lab testing and color. Knowledge in Textiles Production.
Business knowledge with extensive experience in garment/textiles design and development. Has negotiated with major vendors and mills throughout Asia.
Excellent communication skills. Possess talent necessary to clearly communicate with all levels within the organization and with overseas suppliers. Understand cultural aspects of negotiation, presentation and business courtesies.
Understand corporate strategy and fiscal responsibility while building strategic partnerships with global partners.
Process a strong attention to detail and time management
Good command of oral and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
Roles and Responsibilities
Daily management of the Asia based fabric development and production teams.
Updating and management of Fabric and Color Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and their implementation for the Asia region.
Provides the process and service level required to support Design group in order for them to achieve their fabric development objectives.
Ensure mill evaluation ad conformance to produce specified fabrications as required in terms of compliance, quality, consistency, capacity and delivery.
Benchmarks strategic fabric prices to the brand fabric positioning requirements, ensuring Lands' End Brand obtains the optimum service, price and quality ratio.
Updating and management of the Global Fabric Testing Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and its implementation globally.
Partner with Testing Manager to Updating and management of the Global Fabric Testing Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and its implementation globally.
Provides training and guidance to the Asia Fabric team in all fabric related issues.
Travel including Corporate Headquarters, Fabric Exhibitions and Mill/Vendor visits.
Identifying and providing the tools necessary to provide strategic analysis of the brand fabric activity.
Identifying and providing the tools necessary to provide the appropriate development and production tracking for daily use as well as establishing a well maintained fabric database.
